Meet Our Newest Featured Nonprofit: Tubman

For 50 years, Tubman (tubman.org) has been a lifeline for the Twin Cities, helping 17,000 people annually. As Minnesota's largest provider of domestic violence shelter services, they offer everything from emergency shelter and transitional housing to legal advocacy, mental and chemical health counseling, and youth programs — serving people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds facing violence, exploitation, and trauma.

Nominated by /u/wildcow_1125, she left us with a powerful message that reminded us why we do what we do at OddsRabbit:

"Crisis shelters are so important — trying to leave an abusive situation is the most dangerous time for a woman. But ongoing support is vital as well. Many women return to violent partners because they don't know what else to do. But where it truly has my heart is how much the work they do impacts children experiencing deep trauma.
