Blows my mind that this doesn't have an App yet.
It's fun to jump in on a website that's getting its legs and building something, but I am really surprised there is not mobile app for it. If you ask me, that would be a huge way to get more attention.

View all commentsI agree! It's why the site is a bit quiet - I did a launch early September but realized that most people wanted an app so I stopped spreading the word, and just focused on building it.
The app took a bit longer than I expected but the good news is that it's ready, looks amazing, and is even better than the site 😬
Will share more details about the app soon but I'm expecting it to be ready in ~1-2 weeks.
Nice! Sounds like I bumped into this website just in time then.
A bit of advice, I would market it as sort of less ban heavy and politically moderated Reddit. More of an "Open community" alternative, rather than the seriously over policed and crazy place that Reddit has turned into. People are absolutely looking for a better space to turn too and the fact that you have a similar website layout would make it easy to scoop up that market. Though of course you are inevitably going to draw in the crazy people alongside the normal ones.
But that's just my two cents and I am definitely babbling when I have no idea what goes into making a website. Looking forward to the app and seeing how this goes, my man. 🙂
You definitely joined at the right time =)
I appreciate the advice and encouragement! Yea it's going to be tricky to balance.
I think the solution is just to disallow political topics and discussions in general, they get people riled up when I think a lot of people really just to chill and chat about their interests. If people want to debate politics etc., they can just use one of the many socials that already have a ton of that going on.
Having said that, OddsRabbit is an evolving platform, and any and everything is always subject to change though haha.
