OddsRabbit empowers creators to build thriving communities and earn from their work. These guidelines explain our expectations for creators, how monetization works, and what can affect your creator status.

Creator Benefits

As an OddsRabbit creator, you can:

  • Earn 90% revenue share on community subscriptions
  • Earn 50% revenue share on ad revenue from your community
  • Build your audience with powerful community tools
  • Offer exclusive content to paying subscribers
  • Access creator analytics to understand your community
  • Send newsletters to your community members
  • Customize your community with branding and themes

Eligibility

To become a creator and monetize your community:

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Your account must be in good standing (no active violations)
  • You must agree to these Creator Guidelines
  • You must provide valid payment information for payouts
  • You must comply with tax requirements in your jurisdiction

Content Standards for Monetized Communities

Monetized communities are held to higher standards. In addition to our Community Guidelines, creators must:

Maintain Quality

  • Provide genuine value to subscribers
  • Deliver on promised subscription benefits
  • Keep your community active and moderated
  • Respond to subscriber concerns in a reasonable timeframe

Be Transparent

  • Clearly describe what subscribers will receive
  • Don't mislead potential subscribers about benefits
  • Disclose any sponsored content or partnerships
  • Be upfront about content frequency and what to expect

Respect Subscribers

  • Don't gatekeep basic community participation behind paywalls
  • Provide fair notice (30 days) before removing major subscription benefits
  • Don't create artificial scarcity or pressure tactics
  • Handle subscription issues professionally

What You Cannot Monetize

The following types of communities and content cannot be monetized:

  • Illegal content: Anything that violates applicable laws
  • Hate communities: Communities promoting hate or discrimination
  • Harassment: Communities organized around targeting individuals
  • Misinformation: Communities primarily spreading harmful misinformation
  • Spam/scams: Get-rich-quick schemes, MLM promotion, fraud
  • Stolen content: Communities built on others' copyrighted work without permission
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be a brand, celebrity, or organization you're not

NSFW Monetization

NSFW communities may be monetized under additional restrictions:

  • Must comply with all NSFW policies
  • Must not involve any content depicting minors
  • Must have proper consent for all individuals depicted
  • May have limited payment processor availability
  • May be excluded from certain promotional features

Subscription Management

Setting Prices

  • You control your subscription pricing
  • Prices must be reasonable and reflect the value provided
  • You can offer multiple tiers with different benefits
  • Price changes must be communicated to existing subscribers in advance

Changing Benefits

  • You may add new benefits at any time
  • Removing or significantly reducing benefits requires 30 days notice
  • Subscribers may cancel during the notice period
  • Don't bait-and-switch (promise benefits then remove them)

Subscriber Communication

  • Newsletters must be relevant to your community
  • Don't spam subscribers with excessive emails
  • Subscribers can opt out of newsletters while keeping their subscription
  • Don't sell or share subscriber information

Revenue and Payments

Revenue Share

  • Subscriptions (Web/Stripe): You receive 90% of subscription revenue
  • Subscriptions (iOS App Store): You receive 90% of the revenue OddsRabbit receives after Apple's fee (Apple takes 15-30%)
  • Ad Revenue: You receive 50% of ad revenue from your community

Payouts

  • Payouts are processed monthly
  • Minimum payout threshold: $50 USD
  • Payment methods: Bank transfer, PayPal (availability varies by region)
  • You are responsible for reporting income and paying applicable taxes

Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Refunds may be deducted from your earnings
  • Excessive chargebacks may result in monetization suspension
  • Fraudulent activity will result in immediate termination

Moderation Responsibilities

As a creator, you're responsible for your community's health:

Required

  • Remove content that violates platform guidelines
  • Respond to reports in a timely manner (within 24-48 hours)
  • Escalate serious violations (illegal content, threats, CSAM) to OddsRabbit immediately
  • Maintain community rules that comply with platform guidelines
  • See our Child Safety Standards for specific requirements

Recommended

  • Appoint additional moderators as your community grows
  • Create clear, written community rules
  • Use moderation tools consistently and fairly
  • Engage with your community regularly

Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create
  • By posting, you grant OddsRabbit a license to display and distribute your content (see Terms of Service)
  • You can remove your content at any time

Others' Content

  • Don't build monetized communities around others' copyrighted work
  • Respond to DMCA takedown notices promptly
  • Repeated copyright violations will result in monetization removal

Brand Communities

  • Fan communities about brands, teams, or public figures are allowed
  • You must clearly indicate the community is unofficial/fan-run
  • Don't imply official endorsement or affiliation
  • Trademark holders may request community transfer or removal

Promotion and Growth

Growing your community is encouraged, but keep it authentic:

Allowed

  • Promoting your community on your own social media
  • Cross-posting relevant content to other OddsRabbit communities (with permission)
  • Collaborating with other creators
  • Offering free trials or promotional pricing

Not Allowed

  • Spamming other communities with promotions
  • Buying fake followers, subscribers, or engagement
  • Vote manipulation to boost visibility
  • Misleading advertising about your community
  • Poaching members from other communities through spam DMs

Violations and Consequences

Violating these guidelines can result in:

Monetization-Specific

  • Warning: Notice to correct the issue
  • Payout hold: Earnings held pending investigation
  • Monetization suspension: Temporarily unable to receive subscriptions
  • Monetization removal: Permanently removed from creator program

Account-Level

  • Community removal: Your community may be deleted
  • Account suspension: Your entire account may be suspended
  • Permanent ban: You may be permanently banned from OddsRabbit

Severity Factors

  • Nature and severity of the violation
  • Whether it's a first offense or pattern of behavior
  • Impact on subscribers and the broader community
  • Response to warnings and willingness to correct issues

Leaving the Creator Program

If you choose to stop monetizing:

  • You can disable subscriptions at any time in your community settings
  • Existing subscribers will retain access until their current period ends
  • No new subscriptions will be processed
  • You'll receive final payouts for earned revenue above the minimum threshold
  • Your community will continue to exist as a non-monetized community

Tax Information

  • Creator earnings are taxable income in most jurisdictions
  • You are responsible for reporting and paying applicable taxes
  • US creators: You may be required to provide W-9 information
  • International creators: You may be required to provide W-8BEN information
  • We may be required to report your earnings to tax authorities
  • Consult a tax professional for advice specific to your situation
