Community Guidelines
Last updated: Jan 25, 2026
OddsRabbit is a place for communities to thrive. These guidelines help keep our platform welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. They apply to all content you create, share, or interact with on OddsRabbit.
The Basics
- Be respectful. You don't have to agree with everyone, but treat others the way you'd want to be treated.
- Be authentic. Don't impersonate others or misrepresent yourself.
- Follow the rules. Each community may have additional rules set by their moderators. Respect them.
- Use the report button. See something that breaks the rules? Report it instead of engaging.
Content Rules
The following content is not allowed anywhere on OddsRabbit:
Illegal Content
- Content that violates any applicable law
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors - zero tolerance policy
- Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
- Content facilitating illegal transactions (drugs, weapons, stolen goods)
Harassment and Bullying
- Targeted harassment of individuals
- Encouraging others to harass someone
- Doxxing (sharing someone's private information without consent)
- Threats of violence or encouraging self-harm
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content directed at individuals
Hate Speech
- Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Slurs and dehumanizing language targeting protected groups
- Content promoting hate groups or ideologies
Misinformation
- Health misinformation that could cause real-world harm
- Election misinformation or content designed to suppress voting
- Manipulated media presented as authentic (deepfakes used to deceive)
Spam and Manipulation
- Spam, including excessive self-promotion
- Vote manipulation (using bots, multiple accounts, or coordinated voting)
- Artificially inflating engagement metrics
- Posting the same content repeatedly across communities
Privacy Violations
- Sharing others' personal information without consent
- Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
- Content from private spaces shared without permission
Impersonation
- Pretending to be another person, brand, or organization
- Creating accounts designed to mislead others about your identity
- Parody accounts must be clearly labeled as such
NSFW Content
Adult content is allowed on OddsRabbit under specific conditions:
- Must be posted in communities marked as NSFW
- Must not appear in titles, community names, or profile pictures visible to all users
- Must comply with our NSFW Policy in the Terms of Service
- Must never involve minors in any way
- Must have proper consent from all individuals depicted
Users must be 18+ and explicitly opt-in via our web platform to view NSFW content. This setting is not available in mobile apps.
Community-Specific Rules
Individual communities may have additional rules beyond these platform-wide guidelines:
- Check the community's rules before posting (usually found in the sidebar or About section)
- Community moderators can set rules that are stricter than platform guidelines
- Community rules cannot permit content that violates these platform guidelines
- If you disagree with a community's rules, find or create a different community
Voting and Engagement
Voting is how the community surfaces quality content. Keep it fair:
- Vote on content, not people. Upvote content that contributes to the discussion, even if you disagree.
- Don't manipulate votes. Using multiple accounts, bots, or coordinating with others to manipulate votes is prohibited.
- Don't ask for votes. Requesting upvotes or organizing voting campaigns is not allowed.
- Downvotes aren't for disagreement. Downvote content that doesn't contribute, not opinions you disagree with.
Usernames and Profiles
- Usernames cannot impersonate real people, brands, or suggest official affiliation
- Usernames containing slurs, hate speech, or explicit sexual content are not allowed
- Profile pictures and banners must follow the same content rules as posts
- Bios cannot contain prohibited content or links to harmful material
Messaging
Direct messages and group chats are subject to these guidelines:
- Don't send unsolicited spam, promotions, or repeated unwanted messages
- Harassment via DM is treated the same as public harassment
- Don't use messages to circumvent blocks or bans
- Report harassment - we can review reported messages
Reporting Content
Help keep OddsRabbit safe by reporting content that breaks the rules:
How to Report
- Use the Report button on any post, comment, message, or profile
- Select the most appropriate reason for your report
- Add details if helpful (but not required)
What Happens Next
- Community moderators review reports for community rule violations
- OddsRabbit staff review reports for platform guideline violations
- We aim to review reports within 24 hours
- You won't receive individual updates, but we take every report seriously
False Reports
Don't abuse the report system. Repeatedly filing false or malicious reports may result in restrictions on your account.
Enforcement
When you break the rules, consequences depend on the severity and your history:
Possible Actions
- Content removal: The specific content is removed
- Warning: A notice that you've violated guidelines
- Temporary suspension: Your account is restricted for a period of time
- Permanent ban: Your account is terminated
- Legal referral: For illegal content, we may report to law enforcement
Factors We Consider
- Severity of the violation
- Whether it's a first offense or repeat behavior
- Intent (accidental vs. deliberate)
- Impact on others
Appeals
If you believe an action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting [email protected]. Note that some violations (like CSAM) result in permanent bans with no appeal.
Being a Good Community Member
Beyond just following the rules, here's how to make OddsRabbit great:
- Contribute quality content. Share things that spark discussion or provide value.
- Engage thoughtfully. Read before commenting. Add to the conversation.
- Welcome newcomers. Everyone was new once. Be patient and helpful.
- Give feedback constructively. Criticism is fine; cruelty isn't.
- Support your communities. Participate, help moderate, or consider supporting creators.
For Moderators
Community moderators help enforce both platform guidelines and community-specific rules:
- You're empowered to remove content and ban users from your community
- You cannot permit content that violates platform guidelines
- Escalate serious violations (illegal content, CSAM, threats) to OddsRabbit staff
- Treat your community members fairly and consistently
