This helped me reframe my mindset about sales and outreach

I was busy pitching OddsRabbit's new press release to a few journalists today and thought this would be an interesting and timely post to make.

I've always been someone who worried about bothering others, so that naturally applied to when I'm doing cold outreach and sales as well.

However this really helped changed my mindset and the way I think about sales.

The "Cure" Analogy: If you discovered a cure for a terrible headache, would you feel shameless running up to people with headaches and telling them about it? No, you would feel like you're doing them a favor.

If you believe your project (or whatever) provides value, you're not bothering others by reaching out to them, you're helping them out.

If you don't believe your project (or whatever) provides value, then that's a separate issue entirely - maybe rethink your project, or check on your self-esteem etc.

Think through whether your outreach really provides value to the other user, and if it does, it makes it that much easier to craft and send your message - just lead with it.

Hope this helps, this has really made sales and outreach a lot more tolerable for me.
