A cortado I made last weekend
Hopefully these get posed in the right order: Upside-down grinder - mine retains a lot of grounds, and it needs a consensual spanking every once in a while, to dislodge the 2gr or so of stale grounds.

My brother visited Japan last year and brought me back this little guy; I drink more coffee than tea, but I’m trying to make sure he has enough to “eat”!

I was in Denver for a couple days and this place was recommended to me - fractional temperature adjustments to control tenths of a degree in their roasting process… plus a very cool, “neighborhood” feel - the baristas were lip-synching the song on the sound system,...

I don’t like Chiapas that much, but this was a really good shop and I’m hoping it’ll change my mind!

Just got home from a trip, and this is outside the very-cool “Wings Over Denver” museum of flight.

Hey anyone want a flair in this community? Maybe “favored method of brewing” like French Press, Espresso, etc.? RSVP with your thoughts and I’ll throw some stuff together - it might take me a bit, but I think it’d be fun!
I got a tea pet from Japan! I’m trying to figure out how to integrate him into my process… in tea, you pour tea over your pet, and over time it turns color and smells like delicious tea; but I’m not sure steamed milk and espresso will have the same effect.

This may be well-known, but I’M just finding out - most of our sunscreen here in the USA is not great. From what I’m reading, it seems like other countries are held to a much higher standard, with less-harsh/harmful ingredients….

Well, I had to wait a day for parts, but I got the grinder put back together and tested, and it seems ok! I dodged a bullet! (or a tiny rock!). Still haven’t used it for espresso, but it’s sufficient for a pot of coffee, anyway!

In the MLS, I’m a big San Diego FC fan, and their keeper (CJ Dos Santos) is a substitute for the CV national team. I SO wanted to see him block some shots from the powerhouse players from Barcelona etc., but alas they didn’t start him.
Sometimes a little rock will make it all the way through the coffee picking, sorting, shipping, roasting and bagging process, and if you’re not constantly checking for one, it can end up in your grinder.

Anyone ever try this? It’s instant espresso powder whipped together with sugar and hot water to make a foam, which gets poured onto cold milk. A little peanut-butter whiskey goes well in the foam, or whatever cream liqueur you like (Bailey’s, crème de menthe) in the milk.

A contentious match against South Africa, but a dramatic start to the ‘Cup!
For those of us who remember the song from the show 😁.
