Hmm. How come they don't have that same worry about Flock Cameras?
The facebook's glasses are only one brand and product. In a few more years, we'll all have smartglasses from a lot of different manufacturers, and most of us will opt for real-time recording and storage.
I think it's a net good, because eyewitness accounts are unreliable. Video from multiple perspectives will document who did what.
And if we all stay involved and do it right, *we* can control legal and government systems.
Yes. They will totally allow that to happen. Having been filmed numerous times without consent, I disagree. There's no way I can see for these things to exist without a torrent of negatives. If privacy died with the advent of the camera phone then spyglasses are way way on another level.
Xiaomi has Smart Audio glasses (just without the camera).
Oakley would be a direct competitor, with also Ski glasses with a camera, but they also sell regular glasses, shoes, bags, helmets and clothing for sports as well.
