It makes sense, most customers dont want a customizable phone. Its not like you get a tradeoff between cost and performance. The Ara parts are more costly and performs worse than conventional phones. Its a lose-lose for the customer.
But but the Ewaste oh by that time no one cared anymore. and the right to repair was not even mentioned.
Consumers just arent deciding based on those factors. But I agree it would be nice to treat it like a pc where you upgrade parts.
No but that was a big part of the marketing of this product. Then google just did not care and poof.
