New Meta Service Brings Unwelcome Change for Creators on Facebook

Business users are reporting that without advance warning, the platform is now restricting them to two posts per month that contain external links. If users want to exceed that, they must subscribe to one of three costly Meta One plans, at prices ranging from $49 to $499 per month.

Oh yea I saw this on the oddsrabbit instagram... I think they want me to PAY $60/mo (the lowest tier) just to be able to post 2 links per month

That's insane!

I escaped it by days. I had 3 IG accounts and have been slowly closing them out. Shutdown the last one a couple days ago. Others have gone as well, and all but OddsRabbit have now been deleted from my iPhone.

Isn't steampunk is subgenre for science fiction

Bob AmbassadorOP 3w

Yes, it's often referred to as that - especially retro-futuristic science fiction. Although there is some overlap with fantasy and alternative history.

I too was confused. What does the article have to do with steampunk, or is it purely the name of the site?

Sorry, which part are you confused about? The genre of Steampunk, or the FB article?

This article appeared in The Steampunk Explorer as it relates to the FB pages of its members (and themselves). That said, it is relevant to anyone with a business page on FB.

PS: this article was also crossposted to /c/news

Gotchaa. I was confused about a post about FB inside /c/steampun
