Hi Astro!
I like SolarPunk. It would be great to make more room for nature instead of interrupting it. We cant survive alone on this planet. I would like to go beyond genre and aesthetic, and bring more solarpunk values into real life.
I am working on a low light mini farm experiment. I have tried a variety of plants but my apartment gets almost no sunlight. I only have a big window on the north side of the apartment with trees obstructing it. Most of my plants have been leggy. Im going to seek out low light varieties like microgreens and chives and maybe other herbs and see how they do.
Ive tried grow lights but they jacked up my electricity bill. I have a tiny balcony, its hard to say if a wind generator setup could be feasible. Ive also considered that the high voltage street power lines might be close enough to induce a charge on a wire from my balcony. Should I try that one out or is that too much grey area?
First time learning about solarpunk - thank you for creating the community! This might just lead me into a rabbit hole haha.
It sounds like something I'd be very into. Giving back is a big part of my goal for the platform so I'm super glad you're one of our early members =)
