Okay, that's what I read here: https://www.letsgoslovenia.si/exploring-slovenias-forests-dont-wander-around-without-knowing-this/ Don't mess with bears, wild boars and ticks, is their message. But I suppose ticks will be a more serious threat than brown bears.
In my 35 years since I live I never encountered a bear or wild boar. If you ask if it’s, yes, everything is possible. But highly unlikely. Tick without a doubt.
I read on https://www.thebrokebackpacker.com/best-road-trips-slovenia-to-montenegro/ about a road trip from Ljubljana to Kotor. Is that something you'd recommend?
Definitely, beautiful countries with plenty to see. Unfortunately you would miss out plenty from both Slovenia as well as Croatia. Would feel almost sad for you😅 Would recommend staying 1-2 days additional in each country
Well, I suppose it wouldn't be hard to turn this ten-day trip into something much longer!
