If you had to show someone the real Slovenia in 3 days — what would you include?
If a friend came to visit Slovenia and you had 3 days, what would you show them?
Not just the main highlights, but also the places, food, and experiences that really represent the country to you.
Curious to hear different perspectives, locals and visitors.

I’m curious too. I’ve visited many European countries, but Slovenia isn’t one of them. Not yet, that is. It wouldn’t be hard to look up the highlights, but the hidden gems recommended by Slovenians will no doubt be worth visiting as well. Or even more.
As a local myself, I can only recommend. You can go from the Alps to the sea in a couple of hours and hit lakes, caves, and cities like Ljubljana along the way. Over half of the country is forest and honestly a lot to see.
Come and see
Okay, that's what I read here: https://www.letsgoslovenia.si/exploring-slovenias-forests-dont-wander-around-without-knowing-this/ Don't mess with bears, wild boars and ticks, is their message. But I suppose ticks will be a more serious threat than brown bears.
