Lifetime of Side Hustles
I don't think I have ever not had a side hustle...until now.
My first was selling vacuum (Filter Queen) cleaners door-to-door.
After that was selling advertising space for trade magazines. And before that ended a second one started where I was an undercover worker for the security department of a grocery chain.
Then I started my own advertising business so there was no time for side hustle. It was just always hustle. Eventually I sold that off, and my then wife took it all and took off. So back to hustle hustle.
Then I became an Airport Limo Driver for a couple years, and in 2015 Uber came to my town so I became an Uber Driver on top of Limo driver.
I gave up the Limo when Uber Eats arrived. Later I also did Skip the Dishes and Lyft.
Enter COVID. Everything died for about 18 months, and then I started with the Rover app, which quickly morphed into my own dog business. For awhile I sold custom t-shirts and mixed tapes on Etsy, but stopped that once the dog business got going.
No side hustles anymore. just dogs 🤗

Haha… you’re not wrong. And the people I worked, the company, scum of the earth. But it was a good life experience for sure 😳

These are just the tip of the ice berg as far as side hustles go, and then there were full time jobs. I was a Bank Teller, a Zamboni Driver, Managed a YMCA daycare, was a cop, a magazine publisher, Int'l Marketing Manager, etc etc 😅
Outside of dog sitting, which one was your favorite?
Actually, one I haven't mentioned. I ran a small hockey shop at the local arena...skate sharpening, selling sticks, tape...had some regular customers. It was fun. That was back before cell phones and internet though.
