Idk if it’s weird but my first hustle was doing affiliate marketing for Amazon. It still works but it’s a lot more tricky and nuanced now. I have friends that resell sneakers, labubus, and now pokemon/one piece cards. Not super scalable though but it makes for a decent side hustle.
I hear it worked long long ago but died over time due to extreme saturation, competition and the evolution of side hustles over time. Reselling physical products definitely isn't a great option anymore for similar reasons but also because digital reselling exists now.
The physical stuff still works, but you need to know what to buy and resell. I think one piece packs still have a ~100% premium depending on set (last I checked), it's hard to get though, since the ones worth money sell out everywhere. Other examples: https://stockx.com/pop-mart-naruto-shippuden-series-battle-against-akatsuki-themed-secret-naruto-figure ~ $21 retail and reselling for ~$100 now. Not sure how much of this is applicable in canada though.
My first hustle was selling perfumes, more like testers. I had someone who worked in that domain and got hundreds of testers from big brands (Versace, LV, Armani etc). Got it from him with like $3 per bottle and sold it with around $10.
