Wrestling Gossip! Roman’s contract!
I’m not posting the links with outright bullshit to either give your devices link cancer or to line the pockets of little wannabe Perez Hiltons. So, here is a collection of what we know:
Roman said at the Mania post show that he would be full time. TKO posted dates. It showed Roman basically not being around in June. Then they said it was an oversight and then showed he would be on Raw post Backlash and at Night of Champions.
What we do know is that Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston left because of restructuring. They originally signed a deal in 2025 that was a five year deal ending in 2030. WWE wanted to keep Xavier as a Tyler Breeze esque role a’la his UpUpDownDown gaming channel. However, I’m hearing that Xavier wants to retain the rights to it and his name.
I think Roman absolutely wants to retain rights to his name. I don’t think he’s leaving, but I don’t think he’s staying for long. I don’t think he will lose at Backlash. I don’t see Jacob Fatu as being the face of the company now. I can see HHH and his weird ass wanting an Oba Femi/Jacob Fatu clash. He plays ball and will silence the whispers of HHH hating black men. I can see a situation where Roman leaves eventually and takes the rights to the name Roman Reigns. But there’s more money to be had, imo, for a Roman/Oba Femi clash than a Fatu/Femi clash at a bigger event.
So what comes of Roman after? Can the IWC, a notoriously weird group of internet people who fall for rumors and gossip and WWE distractions and lies handle it? Reddit’s squared circle, a sub that sent HHH a fruit basket a decade ago and falls for whatever nonsense they hear think it’s just Roman lying. But these are the same people who were fooled by WWE PR constantly. In April 2025, Vanity Fair released an interview with Roman Reigns where he was forced by WWE PR to give a neutral statement on Trump. WWE knew that the IWC would eat this up and focus on that even though Vanity Fair basically spelled it out in an editorial note that it was PR and the interview was conducted before Trump took office. The interview was released around the time that the detailed accusations against Vince McMahon in the Janel Grant case was released. Fans focused on Roman’s PR fueled statement and ignored the graphic details of Vince McMahon utilizing the WWE to victimize and sexually abuse and traffic Janel Grant. This leads to me to question if Joe Anoa’i can fix the name of Roman Reigns? He went from saying he’d be leaving this year to saying he’d do film and wrestling. Or is the cost too high? Personally, I hope he does. I think he wants to do film, but wants to do more than his cousin or Cena did. What do you think?
