Snapchat AI is scanning through messages and things you post, even to your private stories with limited people

The AI can flag that content and then send it to the FBI. This is real and it’s already happened

“Everything you do, say, write, and post is being monitored — a young teacher's assistant lost a lesson plan when a disruptive student closed her computer. She vented with a joke to friends. "Should I shoot him?" (She was joking, just venting)

She wasn't armed, and she posed no immediate threat. She said this in a private story online on Snapchat to 3 people, and none of those people reported her to authorities”

“But as it turns out, the 3 people with access to the private story weren't alone. They were joined by Snapchat's artificial intelligence system. Snapchat AI scanned her message, flagged it, and then sent it immediately to the FBI”

“The story is horrifying, but it illustrates a new and dark reality. The world you grew up in is gone”

I’m normally pro privacy but in this case, with the teacher threatening to shoot the kid, it’s better to be safe than sorry. The teacher was probably joking but this shouldn’t be joked about

Edward Snowden revealed in 2013 that many cell phones and computers were being surveilled by the CIA/NSA.

Thats why all the cool kids are switching to encrypted mesh radio networks instead of internet.
