Reddit Stock Collapses 23% as AI Eats Away at User Growth

What goes around comes around. As somebody who got shadowbanned for literally nothing and had most of their social media presence severed overnight, fuck them.
AI for banning people and AI for managing the appeals of wrongful AI dispensed bans. You can't make it up.
Reddit shadow bans you for breathing then continues to count you as a user. I guess that's one way to pump up the numbers
One reason I am trying out alternatives such as this. Just because of VPN I got shadowbanned on reddit.
Welcome 🙌 Really appreciate you trying out OddsRabbit! Hope you like what you see so far, and feel free to msg me or create a post in /c/feedback if there’s anything you’d like to see added or improved 🙂
over 300,000 karma points, views and submissions , not to mention 15 years of reddit , I was kicked and banned from my own subs. I believe it was after complaining lots about the new reddit instead of the old.reddit.com , I hate the new look to mimic tiktok. I just want to view the listing of interesting subs, not have to watch one by one and scroll down until I read the one I want to comment on.
ruskeeblue lives on on oddsrabbit.com !
Wow. Huuuuuuge mystery right? I am so happy to see posts that mirror my own Reddit demise. I was a big Reddit user for 8 years, a big Karma gal. Lots of posts, lots of engagement. Science, civil engineering, ecology, mental health. I shared my ghost stories and lived on mom for a minute during the pandemic. Permabanned by responding to a gloating Dogelet that cutting funding for screwworm eradication was going to be a really bad idea and why. No way to get unbanned. I went down with my proud user name. Now I lurk and the limpid pools of community engagement are cesspools of bots and reposts. The collective IQ plummeted to be followed by the share price. Reddits literate, educated cash cows have left the barn. We are now touching grass. Eat incel posts Google!
Roblox's stock collapsed 75% after the age verification thing and their absolute overuse of AI. These companies are getting what they deserve.
I don't think AI is to blame for this one 🤭 reddit just sucks now and that's why people don't use it
The reason why it sucks is simple. The people who made it interesting and cool are no longer posting. They are either banned (for having an opinion) or they are sick of having their knowledge and talent sucked up by AI. Most posts and comments on Reddit are AI bots. You see SO many reposts. Its all bots. Reddit didnt used to suck. Now it sucks bigly.
that be me!
15 year redditor and moderator of many subs. Mostly tech and worldnews and politics. I kept an account for answering questions as mod and another as a user to join other subs and was kicked for even mentioning the nation that controls this country and who shall not be named . What-a-joke and wack-a-mole. Everytime I was kicked I created a new account and I gave up this last round after they got rid of the anonymous views on old.reddit.com unless you logged in. HA! , I'm done, now ready to embark on a new sub .
Making old.reddit only accessible with sign-in or one-time codes was what lead me here. I deleted my 15+ year reddit account a couple years ago, and now I've officially left it for good.
Oh man, mine's only ~13 years or so. Was a completely different place back then lol, it was such a cool part of internet culture
Yeah. I held out to it as long as I could, but the final few years it was a shell of what it had been decades ago.
And in the last 1-2 years, it’s become unrecognizable in a disappointing way.
I lurked on old.reddit until last month when it forced a log on to access.
All things come and go. It was sad to see, but I’m so grateful for the early years in there.
The really funny thing now is seeing my old posts replies and answers come up as AI replies in some of my Google searches. My username says deleted, but the old posts are still there.
