Admittedly, I’ve not paid a lot of attention to Russia over the years, but I do have a sense, rightly or wrongly, that a “lock down” on freedom is kind of their thing. I’d be more surprised if they weren’t locking down online freedom along with any other type of freedom. They’re like communism on steroids…always have been.
I find it insane that Russia is still using VK an app that this man made.
Do you happen to be on the app on mobile internet @Federal_Zombie_9456? Noticing the double post and messages (even in chat). Wondering if the retry mechanism for spotty mobile internet is broken
I'm in an area where internet is bad and I do get a lot of "post not sent" messages. When I push retry it multiple posts.

So there's a retry mechanic on the app - if it fails to send, it retries again (both immediately and a bit later if the user has already closed the app.).
The issue is with spotty internet, when your device sends the request, the server sees it and publishes the comment, but when it sends back the response to your device to let it know that it worked, the device doesn't get the memo because of the lag. So your phone thinks it failed to send and sends it again.
That's crazy, probably has to go to a safe house now, so he doesn't get kidnapped or pinged off.
Is there a safe place from an international Wanted List? If he gets pinged that will just make him a marter and the app will take off faster.

Yup any way to control the media to control the way the population thinks.....it's never about national security.
