chromeOS - update linux version of chrome browser in the GUI

In ChromeOS, I used to be able to update linux version of chrome in the GUI - I could download the .deb file and double click it to install. now it doesn't seem to work? or am i missing something?

Surely the year of the Linux desktop is today

We Are c/linux the home of everything linux on oddsrabbit.

DA RULES:
1. keep it to linux - no one wants to come here to fight about your favorite ice cream flavor or whatever

2. keep the distro waring at the door - no jimmy i dont care if you dont like fedora, im just here to nerd out

3. dont be a jerk- should really go without saying but you never know
