Well, personally I buy most of my games on gog.com, because I like to actuallyu own them. I buy on Steam when 1) It is a game I am very interested in, but is not on gog.com 2) It is very modable and I want access to workshop.

Its not a monopoly just because they actually cater to customers and other companies don’t.
Yep, can't even imagine buying a game from anywhere else at this point lol (except the switch games ofc)
