Just a light brush of butter over the top after they come out of the oven. No eggs used in this bread

Egg wash, you brush it on before baking usually.
Oh Ok, I never seen bread this shiny.
Also did some research, commercial bread and Polish bread don't usually use egg wash, Polish bread uses water instead. Egg wash is usually used for Braided Sweet Bread (Chałka) and Bread Rolls, but even then not that shiny.
