Are you and your wife from the US? I felt like when I was in AU (Syndey), it felt like a very health conscious country but here you are with your (delicious) looking burgeres and pizza lol

Haha nah, I'm British and my wife is Australian. We usually eat very healthily. These are "sometimes" treats.

They were thin, in the photo they're flopped downward due to the weight of the cheese, giving the impression of extra thickness. 😊

That looks absolutely delicious. That said, the thickness of her patties doesn't look like a smash burger. At least not a traditional smash burger.
