Bored with my usual meals. Can anyone recommend a new home cooked meal I could try?
Not sure if this community is meant for this kind of post, but like the title says, I'm really bored with the same old same old of Steak and white rice, Fish and mashed potatoes, shrimp pasta and baked beans and rice.
I need a few ideas to actually livin up my pallet, so I figured making a post here wouldn't hurt too much. I like to cook with my hands, so I'm looking for something I can make myself and that isn't spicy.
(BTW, feel free to delete this post if this isn't the kind of thing this community meant to be used for.)

Here’s a few: try Mississippi pot roast. It’s easy af. Take a roast, season that bitch. Throw in pot. You can add garlic cloves in the meat. Just stab it in there. Throw in some beef broth, banana peppers, and au jus mix. Cook in slow cooker for 2-4 hrs on high or 4-6 on slow. When it’s fork tender it’s done. It makes many meals and can be served over anything. You can also use meatballs instead if roast isn’t in the budget. I also make a really lazy katsu. Chicken breast or tenderloin, take breadcrumbs and season them, cover chicken in Dijon mustard. Throw in breadcrumbs a couple times, toss in air fryer at 375 for like 10 min, maybe more. Not too long because the chicken will dry out. We want juicy chicken. Serve with whatever
You can never go wrong with spaghetti. It is really easy to make a great homemade sauce. Brown some ground beef (or your favorite protein), then set aside. Sauté some onion and garlic, a little tomato paste, then pour in a can or two of tomatoes (whole San Marzano are best, but any will do), and whatever seasoning you like, but be sure to add some salt. You can toss in some oregano, thyme, or go with Italian seasoning. Add back the protein. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, up to an hour or so, just make sure it doesn't reduce too much. If it does, add some beef stock (or chicken stock, or water). Boil the noodles for about 9 mins. You can add noodles to warm sauce, or plate them separately, who cares? They are delish either way.
This is not exactly the craziest, but has become a staple in my house for it being really nice, but also very quick.
Hotdog kebabs! So, you grate hotdogs so that you have long slices of them and then fry them up with the spices of your choice.
Throw them in some pitta with some garlic sauce and salad and you've got the quickest kebab ever 😂
I don’t know why but reading this I only keep thinking “Nonsense. This is just cut up hot dogs.” and “Hm…but what if the seasoning makes it more than that?” 😂
