It was not through an app. They didn't exist back then, fortunately. Just two random strangers. For her it was love at first sight, for me she was a no-go as she was in a relationship (a bad one, but still). Eight years later she reached out to me again to tell me she got divorced. That's when it all started.
Did you two remain friends for all 8 years?
We were acquaintances, exchanging Christmas cards. Or Easter greetings and birthday wishes by mail. Or "Happy holidays".
Awee man, I met my partner on Tinder. 7 years, going strong, engaged, own a house, raise a kid together. Life is good! I had to weed through a lot of losers though. Sometimes you get lucky!
My past relationships came from an association where I play tabletop Rpg (several relations from few month to 2 years) , or from small community on discord (almost 4 years).
I don't use dating site, I met people in groups activity/discussions and feelings and proximity naturally grow.
Not me but two friends got together and got married after they met doing martial arts together. A couple others met as volunteers. I met my wife in the drive through at Arby's. The problem with the dating apps is if you don't live in a very large city it can be hard to have a good pool of people and sometimes I think people's expectations are just too high on those things of themselves and of those potential mates available.

Not much to tell. I was in the drive thru, she was taking my order. I thought gosh she sounded cute/pretty, if I pull up and she is Im shooting my shot. Pulled up to a gorgeous brunette smiling at me and being cute and flirty, almost lost my nerve because I usually struck out but said fuck it, yolo ya know? Said "you should include your number with my receipt" and she said "it's already on it with a wink". Waited a few days to call her and took out for a simple cliche date of food and a movie and we started hanging out and before I knew it she moved in, we got engaged and married then the kid came along a year later and here we are.

I didn't 😵💫 as someone who never used any dating apps, I have to unfortunately say that meeting someone off them is just as difficult 😓 I'm sure it'll happen one day though
