The morning ritual, an almost-flat white oat milk coffee

We bought this machine on sale a couple years ago. We’ve saved thousands on daily coffee since then. Worth every delicious penny.

Oh nice! I’ve heard good things about the Phillips super-automatic machines, how is it to use? And is they a built-in thermometer on the side of your milk pitcher? If so, that’s a cool feature!

The machine is good, though you have to thoroughly dry the portafilter if you’re making back to back shots (it only comes with one).

There is a thermometer on the milk pitcher, but I’ve never used it. I just wait until it warms up on my free hand to the temp I want.

I get that; I have a clip-it-to-the-side thermometer for milk steaming, but I never use it; going by feel is a good way to do it, I think.

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting something like this for my father-in-law; would you say that it’s intuitive enough for an interested novice, or would one need some background in grind size management, water temperature surfing, etc.?

Grind size is the most frustrating part. The pressure can vary a lot even with the same beans.
The machine itself though is pretty intuitive after the first few uses.

Nice, thanks for the advice bro!

LOL I was trying to type “thanks for the INFO”, but autocorrect had opinions on the message. I’m just going to run with it! 😁

A good coffee machine is the best investment anyone can make in their lifetime 👍

Absolutely agree. It paid for itself in just 2 months, and we typically only have 1 coffee each per day.
