back to the Cold War

I recently came across a bunch of Mac Bolan books (The Executioner, Stony Man, etc.) at a local thrift store. If you are not familiar, Mac Bolan was a mercenary during the Cold War era. He was American and did most of his work with a "special" unit of the CIA.

Anyway, I used t read these books like crazy, but had forgotten about them. I bought one, just for old times' sake, and read it. It was a blast! Not the greatest craftsmanship in writing, pretty predictable ad formulaic, but FUN. It allows for a lot of fun reading without having to use too much brain power. Because every once in a while you need a break. But when you need a break from reading, do it by reading something fun like this. At least for me. And there are more than 100 of them to choose from;

they can all stand alone.
