What’s not allowed:

Posting traits, behaviours or symptoms and asking if it could be autism
Speculating about other people’s diagnoses
armchair diagnosing
Sharing links/results of online autism tests
Sharing/requesting assessment questions or activities
Interpreting or asking others to interpret medical reports/diagnosis papers

You may describe your own experiences or language preferences, but may not deny autism’s status as a disorder or disability, discourage evidence-based therapy or services, or shame others for needing medical, therapeutic, or government support. The social and medical model co-exist and the denial of one is not helpful.

Asking someone to explain a joke or a social interaction is fine, venting about someone is not.

Politics includes opinions, arguments, debates, or positions about government, laws, public policy, elections, or political groups. News is allowed when it shares facts without promoting a political opinion or action. Activism is allowed when it raises awareness, educates, or encourages general action (like volunteering) without involving government, laws, or elections.

10. Online Safety

Hide usernames/subrabbit names or other personal information that can identify someone when sharing images.

Blur pictures/videos of yourself, anyone else, or media (photos or videos) with children in them. Famous people are not included in this.
