What are you slowly realizing as you get older?

Also not really a new realization nor a surprising take, but how fast life really passes you by. One of my pup's 18 now and struggling a bit, and my mom's been bed-ridden with ALS. It really made me think back how just a short while ago, both of them were getting slightly worse and worse health-wise. Anyway, that's just to say to cherish the little moments in life, and how a lot of the things we worry and argue about are actually meaningless and minor in the grand scheme of things.
This was a realization from way back while growing up, but the realization that my parents are people too, and that they have their own wants, needs, and desires. That really changed the way I thought about things and our relationship.
