Masterpieces Found

Long after closing time, the thieves slipped into the dark museum through a window. Security footage shows them quietly removing three pieces from the wall. The artworks were worth more than $10 million, and they had vanished in less than three minutes. In good news for the Magnani-Rocca Foundation, a museum located about 12 miles from Parma, Italy, the missing artworks have been recovered. Police found them inside an empty television box at a home nearby. “They were professionals,” said an official. “But we were better.” The artworks in question are Paul Cézanne’s Still Life With Cherries (worth around $7 million), Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Les Poissons ($3.5 million) and Henri Matisse’s Odalisque on the Terrace ($23,000).

I hear it's very hard to sell stolen artwork like this too since you'd need to find an extremely wealthy private buyer who also doesn't mind that it's stolen lol

I was thinking that as well. VERY wealthy because they don't mind its stolen, and can't have it on display.
