Dune character designs: House Harkonnen

Hi everyone!

Here's another entry for my fan-project of making character designs for all the main characters of Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic; DUNE.I wanted to start with my favorite characters; The Harkonnens. Ever since I first read the book, I'd always thought that these guys were such fun andinteresting villains and really wanted to bring out their more exaggerated and grotesque qualities.

For the Baron, I really wanted to have some fun with his suspensor-suit and robes.

For Piter, I wanted to really give him an unhinged priest/court-jester vibe.

For Rabban: I really wanted to give him the look of a sadistic, overgrown "tank-brain" of a child.

For Feyd, I wanted to do something a little different, giving him more androgynous look, yet maintaining his cunning viciousness.

And for the Harkonnen Trooper, I wanted to create a look that combines the hi-tech sci-fi with rough and tumble brutality.All images were generated using
