The Impact of Support Services

"Victim-survivors can experience an increased sense of self-efficacy and empowerment, improvements in coping abilities and safety, and reduced feelings of guilt and isolation as a result of service engagement."

This is a tough topic, but the work organizations like Tubman do create real, life-changing impact for people rebuilding their lives. The more we can help the helpers, the more they can do to set future generations up to break the cycle.

I really want to say that you're really inspiring. I don't "word so good" so I'm not sure if I'm conveying what I want to say properly but your actions, and the way you stand up and push for something you believe in, is really admirable.

Tubman is a Twin Cities-based organization born from the union of four charities united by a single mission: ensuring that everyone has the right to feel safe.

They provide crisis shelter for mothers and children fleeing domestic violence, along with counseling, legal services, and the kind of ongoing support that actually changes outcomes. Because leaving an abusive situation is often the most dangerous time for a woman — and without real resources waiting on the other side, many are forced to return.
