Stay whimsical! Community chat is out, come say hi to fellow Rabbitors! - Newsletter #6
Exciting news, we’re rolling out our community chat beta, which means you can soon live chat with others in your favorite communities! It’s the perfect way to connect, banter, and bond with fellow Rabbitors in real-time.
How community chats work
To start, only the main OddsRabbit community chat is live during the beta.
To join the room:
Open your chat screen (or click the chat dropdown).
Hit the Communities tab.

Once we’ve ironed out all the kinks, the feature will be rolled out to all communities, allowing users to chat live with others on their favorite interests.
Note:
- Community chats are muted by default, you will have to unmute them to receive notifications.
- Same platform rules apply to community chats

Tip of the week
“Creativity is like a muscle; you have to exercise it regularly. Creativity usually comes from a combination of ideas and thoughts; rarely does it come out of thin air. Things may whirl around, crashing about in your mind, but they will eventually form into creative ideas. Keep an eye out for them.” - posted by /u/Ravenmagpie

Enjoying the community so far, haven't had a chance to really dive in yet but one thing i've been confused about is why the left sidebar with all your communities and whatnot disappears when you view a post from the feed or enter a community? It makes it difficult to navigate the site.
That’s a fair point. The left sidebar in communities/post is currently reserved for the community’s left sidebar (which is nothing yet lol). But the idea is to let communities be able to customize it, show community tags, sub-topics etc.
I do see what you mean though hmm. Let me think about how I can improve it.
Gotcha, I just figured the community sidebar would be the right side one since thats where the community information is already.
Also, side note, it would be nice if the community title in the right sidebar actually linked back to the main community page so if you are coming from the trending feed or whatever and are reading comments and want to see more of the community you don't have to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to click the link there, you can just click the name on the right.
