Oooo what a fun topic and an interesting list!
I'm pretty basic - the Matrix Trilogy, Avengers, Frozen, Inception etc. so I'll instead share a few niche ones you and others might not have heard of.
Classic Hong Kong movies (most are free on YouTube with eng subs I believe)
- Stephen Chow - God of Gamblers 1, 2, and 3 (1 is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OerL2VbpJI)
- Mr Vampire - Chinese vampires still freak me out, having watched these as a kids
- Internal Affairs
- Made in Hong Kong
- Gorgeous - ft. Jackie Chan and Shuqi
- The Storm Riders
Hong Kong really do action movies well. It's great to find some HK movies I haven't heard of. Will check them out!
An impossible task - but here's what comes to mind!:
- Raising Arizona
- Shawshank Redemption
- Star Wars (the original only)
- Doctor Strangelove
- Monty Python & the Holy Grail
I could easily have had your 2, 3, and 5 on my list.
In alphabetical order...
