Yordan Alvarez (American League) and Otto Lopez (National League) have won MLB Player of the Week awards

Yordan Alvarez (Houston Astros) has won his 6th Player of the Week award, and 3rd this season. He had a slash line of .435/.462/.957 across 26 plate appearances last week. He hit four homers and led all Amerian League players with 11 RBIs.

Otto Lopez (Miami Marlins) has won his first Player of the Week award. He batted .500 (14-for-28) with eight extra-base hits in 6 games. Lopez had 14 hits which was the most among all players, and added to his MLB-best .346 batting average.
