I think a big part of it is fear, admitting what we’re missing or struggling with can feel like weakness. But stepping out of that comfort zone is probably where the real change happens. What's your opinion?

When did you first realize you couldn’t really be yourself as a kid?

As a kid I learned pretty fast to adjust. My mom was young, under pressure, doing her best. But there wasn’t really space for me to have my own opinion. So I just stopped saying things. Started adapting. And the fucked up part is it worked. I became “easy”. No problems. No conflict.
