For many years now I have thought that attending church (I grew up Catholic) was silly and a waste of time.
I have come to realize that it wasn't the gathering of like minded people that is useless rather the it was the religious rhetoric that I couldn't cotten with.

For a long time I have thought about connecting with like minded people is an incredible idea. Of course, this happens regularly for groups with similar interests, sports, hobbies, clubs, associations etc. but I imagined people gathering regularly, like a church without the religious over / undertones. Instead, connecting for camaraderie and the betterment of society and the greater good.

I saddens me that, in this day and age there are so many backasswards people who can't see past color, borders, orientations, identities or basic circumstances.
I get it if someone isn't a fan of another person's ideology, choices, etcetera. Simple solution is, if ones sees something that is not their cup of tea, then don't drink it. March to your own drummer but there is no need to or value in pissing on someone else's parade.

Annnd that's my rant for the morning.

“If one’s sees something that is not their cup of tea, then don’t drink it. There is no need to or value in pissing on someone else’s parade.”

Very well said lol
