I don’t know if anyone can relate?

But I had false awakenings almost every night which turn into nightmares. So when I was young I taught myself to check the room for anything out of order/missing items whenever I woke up. If something was off, I would go back into my bed and wait for the dream to be over.

I'm seated at a conference in a folding chair but no one is paying attention to the speaker. Student in front of me turns around with his friend to face me and it's an annoying younger student that keeps making fun of me.

He's a drug user and alcoholic, ordering shots from the bartender. He's knowledgeable about machines/electricity and music composition, lots of friends and respect from everyone despite having the habits of an addict.
