Last place I worked, we had one person who was always looking for that 100% solution to problems. The rest of us were good trying 90% solutions. That one person rarely fixed anything.

Yep. It's better to get it out there where you can work with it, and on it!

Love this. We have to remember, life is messy. It's not how you nit-pick, but how you bulldoze through life!

And if you at least make something you are ahead and can adjust to make it better all the time.

Interesting. Something my father always told me (don't know who he was quoting) is "There never seems to be enough time to do something right the first time, but there always seems to be enough time to do it over."

I used to think that meant, "slow down, take your time, and get it right".

But now I think it may mean, "just get it done, if it ends up needing an adjustment, we can worry about that then."

Yeah! I would’ve thought so too. But it makes more sense when applied to this one. I like it! Are you able to ask your dad what he meant?

No, unfortunately he left us in 2000. And while he was not a religious man, in the traditional sense, and never preached it in words to us kids, he admired many of the inspirational thinkers of his day, particularly Norman Vincent Peale and Og Mandino, and those books he did encourage upon us. My father always worked from home and every business (or personal) phone call ended with "God bless..." Perhaps not a big thing, but to this day it impresses me.

NVP and Mandingo are great. Have you read The Greatest Salesman in the World?

Oh yes, I've read all of his books. Most more than once. The Greatest Salesman in the World, several times — and I've actually just begun it again. It never gets old, and it reveals more with each read.
