Coffee and Creativity - win/win
Go out and have a coffee (or non-acoholic bev of choice. You want to stay clear-headed on this) with a creative person. Ask them what is inspiring them right now.

That's creative in itself. So sure, I'll bite.
*sips his Americano* What is inspiring me right now is time-blocking my schedule. I am pretty much a disorganized person. I know about how far down in a stack of papers something is, but it may take a while to find.
By time-blocking, I can make sure I do what needs to be done and what's important to me by prioritizing it with a designated time and length of time. Then, when that time is over, and I stop that thing for the day, I have made sure to have only thought about that thing for a certain amount of time, and that I have made some progress on it. *sips his Americano again*
That oddly rigid, organizational type of thinking frees up my creative flow. *sips Americano and fixes his gaze upon you*
How about you JJM? What is inspiring you right now?
Hmm I have tried time blocking before but struggle with keeping myself within that time block (which defeats the entire purpose). What do you do when the time block you’ve set for a specific purpose goes over/under? Do you just hold off on that thing until another day/time?
Then I pick it up when the next time I blocked it comes up. Maybe I have a break blocked in, then that project is blocked in later. Or even the next day.
I fund that when I get back to it I am very fresh and focused on progressing from where I left off.
As for what’s inspiring me, that’s a tough question. As someone with mild (?) ADHD, I thrive on last minute tasks and pressure/competition. I was inspired last month by a competitor but now that’s gone. I’m inspired by what OddsRabbit can become and do on the social impact side, but that has always been there which does not give me more of the immediate pressure that puts me into overdrive mode. Maybe that is better for my health and mental state haha. I get a little too into it when inspired, maybe the more consistent but less intense state is the ideal state to aim for to prevent burn out.
