Bird of the Week - The Golden Eagle!

This is one damn good lookin' raptor - so good looking in fact, it's the national bird for Mexico, Albania, Germany, Austria, and Kazakhstan. Heck, it was even the bird representing the Roman Empire. There's some serious cred. for a bird found all over the world.

They're huge too, showing wings spans up to 2.34 metres / 7ft, 8in. with enormous claws.

They're built for some serious hunting. They're considered one of the best and fastest flyers, crankin' their speed up to
45–52 kilometers per hour (28–32 mph)!
