DAE feel like government paperwork is a special torture for us?
I know most people don't like paperwork to begin with, but what I'm experiencing is going sooooo far beyond dislike. If I only *disliked* it I would have several of these forms done in a day.
I'm applying for SSI, SSDI, and AND, which can provide cash assistance while going through the SSI process. The SSDI I tried to do online but twice wasn't able to finish in the 60 days before they just submit your unfinished application anyway and deny it. Finally had a phone appointment with someone at SSA and got them both submitted.
But this stuff for adult financial assistance is breaking me. I'm already 4 days late on the disability determination application, have a bunch more doctors and facilities to add and about 40 medical tests. This morning I had a meltdown just from being unable to find a form my doctor needs to fill out, the link to it on the state site is broken and all other sources I can find want me to sign up for a trial of a stupid PDF editor in order to download it. It's a free, government form ffs.
I need to find some agency to help me with the forms I guess but couldn't finish even that. It's insane how hard this is for me. Stupid mundane forms but I may as well be trying to do trigonometry, which I've never had a class in. Trig where my health and life depend on getting the right answer.
